Condominium Law
Benjamin J. Rutherford practices civil litigation, with a focus on condominium law. BenŐs practice has taken him to the Superior Court, and the Court of Appeal. In one condominium case in which he was involved, Ben successfully resisted a leave to appeal application to the Supreme Court of Canada. Ben is counsel on a number of cases reported on-line and in condominium industry publications.
BenŐs experience in condominium law includes governance disputes, enforcement issues, and shared facilities disputes.
In addition to speaking at seminars on legal issues, Ben has taught a high-school equivalency course in Canadian and International Law, and has acted as teaching assistant for an introductory course in law offered by York University.
As a member of the West Scarborough Justice Committee, Ben volunteers his time as a mediator between offenders and their victims.
